A small produce stand in Boise, ID, actually a suburb - Garden City. Vicki's Veggies (Riverside Farms) has organic produce. Their corn, and honeydew and cantaloupe melons are the best I've ever tasted. They have peppers, tomatoes, squash, zuke, cuke, cabbage, broccoli, eggplant and other veggies.

They never use pesticides or herbicides.

It's great to know where your produce comes from - in the 7 acre garden right next to the produce stand!

a) The Old Town Farmer's Market in Alexandria on Saturday morning is hands down my favorite. Whole Foods in DC is a close second.

b) I would fill my lovely bag with fresh cut sunflowers, beets, green and wax beans. On top of that I would gingerly nestle a box of cupcakes from Chateau Gateau. Mmm . . .

I love the Brattleboro VT Farmer's market on weekends, and Trader Joe's as a special treat...but my usual favorite is Market Basket in Leominster MA....it's not a fancy store, but their prices are terrific and they are constantly trying to keep up with new trends and are always willing to look into new products...plus they are the only market around that seems to cater to the diverse groups that keep adding to our area...!

I love Whole Foods and sometimes Bertucci's which was great when it was Sutton Place Gourmet, in Bethesda Maryland. I would fill my bags at Whole Foods with their beautiful meats and fruits and veggies, and at Bertucci's I would get that wonderful mustard I use to make my favorite chicken dish that I can't seem to find anywhere else!

I love to shop at Stile's Farmer's Market in Manhattan on 52nd Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. I would fill my bags with all the good looking veggies that I get there without wasting so much plastic!

My favorite grovery store is Wegmans, I love the huge variety and great prices. I would stuff it full of fresh bread, great cheese, delicious fruit, and some sour cherry sparkling lemonade. Then I would take it on a picnic in the park to enjoy the last warm days of summer.
